Mrs. Sabol will provide the students with passes for lessons every week for their day and time. Also, she will be providing a calendar with their specific days for lessons highlighted to try to make things easier on the students, teachers, and parents with remembering when lessons will be.

    Orchestra practices will start the first week of October. The rehearsals will be after school on a Tuesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Not before school as the original sign up letter said for the band/orchestra program.

    Lessons began this week on September 16th….if you have not done so yet, please rent your instruments and purchase the book Essential Elements 2000 series for the instrument of your choice.

I’ve been busy with my son and husband doing some traveling and work around the house. Although I’ve been doing these things, I have also been working on materials for the school year. Please pay attention to the different scales and music reading for HS posted for you to print off to prepare for the school year. Along with the scales, you will need certain materials for the school year, so pay attention and get ready for a fun productive year in the string program at Nazareth!

    It has been an outstanding year for the elementary program. All of you were wonderful students to work with and you learned so much this year. For the summer if you do a few things to keep the concepts fresh in your mind, you will be in better shape for the coming school year:

    • review your notes in your books
    • review all the concepts in the yellow boxes in your books
    • learn the new sections you were assigned to work on over the summer
    • go to a website called Music Tech Teacher and choose quizzes, worksheets section – lots of fun games and concepts to go over
    • find some fun music online – there are a lot of free sites out there and play some new music
    • get a book of music from your favorite movie and learn the music – this makes it fun

    Have a great summer and I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall!
