Assignments for the end of April
High School Orchestra
Practice, Practice, Practice!!! Make sure you work out any problem spots in the music to polish the pieces for the concert.
If you did poor on the playing quiz on Scales in Rhythm, you may retake the quiz before the end of the month.
Playing proficiencies will be done during the 2nd and 3rd week of May on the concert music learned this semester. A list of the sections to be tested will be posted for you by the first week of May.
String Technique Class
Performances at Moravian Hall Square - April 23rd
Begin work on Solo pieces which will be your final assessment for class for the semester. Work on your technique builder papers also, to work on finger work on your instruments.
Middle School Orchestra
Practice, Practice, Practice!!! Practice your concert music the next couple of weeks to polish and work on the problem spots to prepare for the concert.
Playing proficiencies will be taking place in May on your concert music - a list to follow by the first week of May.
Elementary
Practice your concert Music and work out the problem/hard spots to be better prepared for the concert. Practice your open string work on the new strings you just learned. Practice the music for fluency with the notes and rhythms.
Reminders to all
Concert is on May 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the HS - The rehearsal will take place for MS/HS on Monday May 5th from 3-5 p.m. Report time the night of the concert is 6:00 p.m. to the HS band and choral rooms.
Trips - HS - May 8th-11th to Virginia MS - May 23rd to PAC Competition and Six Flags
