Beginners
- Students worked on taking note reading tests, receiving report cards, and reading notes on the G string, rhythm exercises, using eighth and half notes.
- Student signed report cards should be back the week of Feb. 5th
- We will continue to work on new rhythms with songs and reinforce the note reading on the strings.
- Concert Music – pass offs on Grasshopper Ball and work on Cabbage Countdown, bottom section
Intermediate
- Students are working on pages 2-5, 8-10, depending on how far they are in the new series book 2
- Working in concert music on Cabbage Countdown, Bottom section and Do-Re-Mi; pass offs on Grasshopper Ball
Advanced
- Individual assignments in reading harder rhythms, shifting, key signatures with sharps and flats, dynamics, articulations, and extended fingers.
- Concert Music – pass offs on Grasshopper Ball; work on Cabbage at Bottom, Do-Re-Mi and start Boogie in the Straw.
