Beginner

1. Students are working on a series of pages in the book: pages 14, 15, 17, and/or 18
2. Students should work on bowing technique to keep the right shoulder and upper arm down and close to the body
3. While bowing, the students should bow using the lower arm and wrist, plus try to keep the bow moving between the bridge and the fingerboard.
4. Concert Music – Grasshopper Ball and Cabbage Countdown
5. All students should keep working on note reading to make sure they know their notes on the D and A string by saying and looking at the note, by the fingering and the string, also which line or space the note is on or above/below the staff.

Intermediate

1. Students are working on Accents in the book on page 30 and lowered 2nd fingers on notes F and C or individual assignments
2. Students should be working on Grasshopper Ball, Cabbage Countdown, and Wexford Circle in Concert Music
3. We will begin working on Holiday music this week or the week after Thanksgiving Break to prepare for the last week of school before the Winter Break
4. Please purchase Essential Elements 2000 Series Book 2 for your instrument

Advanced

1. Students are working on individual book assignments
2. If you have not purchased the book yet, please purchase Essential Elements 2000 Book 3 (Essential Techniques/Shifting Book)
3. Concert Music – Grasshopper Ball, Cabbage Countdown, Wexford Circle
4. Holiday Music work starting this week or the week after Thanksgiving Break
5. We will be performing the music the last week of school before Winter Break
